BIO

My name is Suzanne Finn. I have always had an interest in art and did very well in my school exams many moons ago in 1986.

When I started working I kind of forgotten my love for it and it went by the wayside.  In 2012 I took voluntary redundancy after working for nearly 20 years and finding it very difficult to find employment I made one of the best decisions of my life and enrolled in Abbeyleix FEC doing the Craft/Skills course.

Two of the modules were Art/Painting and Pyrography.  Here I rediscovered my love for Art and found a new passion for wood burning.  Since then I have done many pieces, both for myself and for commissions and I found that word of mouth is my greatest marketing tool.

I have exhibited my work at the Durrow Scarecrow Festival for the last 5 years and have done many craft shows, both at Christmas and during the year.  I have exhibited my work a number of times in Abbeyleix Public Library over the last few years and get invited back to dislay my work each year. I cannot be more excited that I have come this far.
